St. George’s Anglican Church, a parish of the Anglican Province of Christ the King, is part of a body of episcopal churches which believe and reflect historic Christianity in the Anglican tradition and hold to the 1977 Affirmation of St. Louis.
Our Faith is that of the One, great Tradition of the ancient and undivided Church of the first millennium; embracing the seven Ecumenical Councils, the Apostles’, Nicene, and Athanasian Creeds, the Apostolic Ministry of male Deacons, Priests, and Bishops, the seven Sacraments as the divinely appointed means of grace, and the Holy Scriptures as the infallible Word of God which hold all things necessary for our salvation.
Our mission is to glorify and worship Almighty God with the historic Liturgy of our church (in the form of the 1928 Book of Common Prayer and 1940 Hymnal), to teach our children and those who hunger for the Catholic and Apostolic Faith, and to bear witness in our own lives to the love of our heavenly Father, revealed to the world through Jesus Christ, in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Our values are those of the New Testament. Therefore we embrace and affirm the standards of Holy Matrimony and family life expressed therein. We are, accordingly, unambiguously pro-life, and believe in the legal protection of all life from conception to death.
